See All ReviewsThe first time my husband and I went to Nagoya, we chose a platter without knowing what was in it. Apparently sushi and sashimi are very different things. Frustrated at our own expensive blunder, we returned and ordered only sushi. Sadly, the waitress didn't write down what we ordered, so we received all spicy crab rolls. They tasted okay, but were on the small side for the price. When we asked the waitress, she didn't apologize. We gave Nagoya two chances and will not be returning.
Decent sushi, but my waitress wrote nothing down when taking my order. Didn't think it'd be a big deal. Never got the seaweed salad I ordered, and I was brought the wrong sushi roll. Not the biggest deal, roll was still good and missing a seaweed salad isn't huge deal since I wasn't charged for it. But not sure why someone would try to work from memory if they can't remember a two item order in full.
The wife and I have been traveling all over the mitten in the last month, and we have been on a bit of a sushi kick. After having eaten at several highly reviewed establishments I must say we were both pleasantly surprised to find this quality of food and variety of roll options available at Nagoya. The service was very friendly and we found everything to be very clean. Our first visit but definitely not our last.
